City Facilities Comply with County’s Indoor Mask Mandate

With the County of Los Angeles’ indoor mask mandate reinstated on Saturday, July 17 at 11:59 PM, the City of Duarte would like to remind all of its residents that masks are required in all indoor facilities, including during City Council meetings.

Residents Encouraged to Participate in L.A. County's Supervisorial Redistricting Process

Every ten years, supervisorial districts must be redrawn so that each district is substantially equal in population. This process, called redistricting, is important in ensuring that each Board of Supervisors member represents about the same number of constituents. In the County of Los Angeles, the CRC is responsible for drawing these supervisorial districts. Redistricting is done using U.S. Census data, which is usually released around March 31, 2021, but is expected to be delayed until June or July 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the County of Los Angeles, the redistricting process must be completed by December 15, 2021.

Duarte Chamber of Commerce Executive Director/CEO to Retire

The Duarte Chamber has announced the appointment of Miranda L. Stewart as Interim Manager as of June 16, 2021. Miranda will serve as Interim Manager after Sheryl Lefmann, Executive Director/CEO announced her retirement and relocation to South Carolina earlier this year. As Interim Manager of the Duarte Chamber, Miranda will ensure members are met with prompt and attentive service. Sheryl had served as the Executive Director since 2017.
