New City Entry Monument Signs Unveiled Along Huntington Drive

New entry monument signs have recently been installed on Huntington Drive and Duarte Road to replace the old concrete signs installed many years ago. The new signs are part of a program to increase sign uniformity and to strengthen city image. The project design was a partnership between the City and Hunt Design that also includes: city wayfinding signs, street name identification signs and city limit signs.

The monument signs are equipped with energy efficient LED lighting with ground lighting and a halo lit Duarte logo. The sign face includes a subtle pattern that was inspired by historic Spanish style ironwork. The blue, gold and cream color scheme is consistent through all of the new signs.

In the median areas where the entry signs and median street name signs are being installed the city will be installing colorful, drought tolerant landscape which is a first step in upgrading all medians to more water efficient landscape.
